In 2013, Chrysalis Lingerie became a global viral sensation when it launched as the first underwear brand designed for Transgender Women. It was also the first niche fashion brand to intertwine intimate apparel with LGBTQ+ advocacy, pioneering a social-enterprise model that proved fashion could be both beautiful and transformative.

Founded by trans innovator and social entrepreneur Cy Melina-Kai Lauz, Chrysalis was not just about lingerie—it was about creating design solutions to social challenges, and affirming identities too often erased.

Now, Chrysalis has unfolded into its next form: Chrys.Alis.

Chrys.Alis is the first underwear brand to embrace all bodies and all genders—a revolutionary statement of intersectional inclusivity. It is a line for women, men, trans, non-binary, and gender-fluid communities alike. More than a brand, Chrys.Alis is a movement of fabric and form, where intimate wear becomes a declaration of liberation, belonging, and beauty for everyone.

Rooted in Hudson, NY, Chrys.Alis is also part of the Made in Hudson Initiative: creating local, regenerative manufacturing and workforce training that ties global inclusivity to local resilience. Each piece is more than clothing—it is an act of equity, crafted in Hudson, for all of Hudson, and for the world.
